Greetings Bethany Christian Families! Today was STEP #3 of becoming STRONG Leaders with the Apex Team. Our students learned what it means to REFUEL and why it is so important to take care of our three tanks: Our brain, our body, and our soul. We can only be STRONG leaders by taking care of our body through consistent exercise and healthy eating habits. We give our brains a break by getting a good amount of sleep, not worrying or stressing and not spending too much time on our devices. We fill our soul by spending time in God’s word. Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 Here is our top 3 leaderboard: 1st: Howe (4) $66/lap 2nd: Hawes (6) $62/lap 3rd: Morgan (2) $54/lap Here is tonight’s challenge-Share Challenge: The class that obtains the most Shares collectively will earn an EXTRA FREE RECESS with the Apex Team next week! Let’s get those shares and continue to help our school! Remember, the Share feature is a great and easy way to reach out to friends and family out of state!

Today (5/1) was STEP #2 of becoming STRONG Leaders with our Apex Team, and what it means to be TRUSTWORTHY. In order for leaders to be trustworthy, we have to do what we say and be accountable for our actions. The best teams are filled with members who can rely on and trust each other. When we are trustworthy, we earn more freedom! 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.' Proverbs 3:5-6 Here is tonight’s challenge- Participation Challenge: The class that has the most students participate tonight by obtaining a pledge of any amount and entering onto myapexevent.com will get to have a Popsicle Party with the entire Apex Team! Let’s keep helping our school! Be sure to check out the SHARE feature on your child's page where you can share his/her pledge page via email, text and social media. Check out our top three classes so far: 1st: Howe (4) $51/lap 2nd: Djeu (K) $33/lap 3rd: Poppleton (1) $32/lap

Greetings Bethany Christian Families! Today was STEP #1 of becoming STRONG Leaders with our Apex Team. A huge shout out to our top pledging classes so far: 1st: Howe $24/lap 2nd: Djeu $18/lap 3rd: Poppleton $11/lap Here is tonight’s challenge- Login Challenge: If we can get 100% of our class to go to www.myapexevent.com at home, type in his/her access code (found on pledge kit that the students received yesterday) and enter in their T-shirt size, we will get the opportunity to play Dodgeball with our Apex Team! When the Kindergarteners receive 25 or more Pom Poms in their bucket, they are able to choose a reward. These two students chose to take their shoes off in class. Congratulations to these two for working so hard and choosing kindness with their peers.

The first graders are learning that crocodiles prefer larger meals over smaller ones! We’re using crocodile mouths to get us ready for the symbols we’ll use when we compare numbers: < (less than), > (greater than) and = (equal to). The open mouth is always turned toward the bigger number!
