In Kindergarten, we have been reading the Polar Express every day. After we learned different vocabulary and various story elements, we celebrated by making hot chocolate in a crockpot! #christmas #bethanylions #hotchocolate #polarexpress

Group hug. Last day with 5th grade intern. Goodbye Mr. Summers.

Our next Christmas book was, “The Legend of The Candy Cane.” We learned that if you flip it around it is a “J” for Jesus and if it is right side up it is a staff for the shepherds who visited Jesus at the stable. A candy cane is red for the blood shed for us by Jesus, and white because we have been cleansed of our sins.

Our next Christmas book was, “The Legend of The Stocking”. We learned that we need to give during the Christmas season because God gave us Jesus! #bethanylions #Christmas #reasonfortheseason

First grade loves science!

Our next Christmas book was, “The Legend of The Christmas Tree.” This boom taught us that a Christmas tree is like a triangle. A triangle has three sides and that reminds us that we love: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!

Today was our annual Spelling Bee! From 1st grade all the way to 8th grade, all of Bethany's students did a fantastic job. Today's winners will go on to the ACSI Spelling Bee in January! #bethanylions #spellingbee

The students are learning about different ways to spread the Good News of Christmas, that Jesus was born. After we read, “The Legend of The Christmas Cookie”, the students made angels!
