5th Grade steps into the 18th Century to experience revolutionary history at Riley’s Farm !

Revolutionary experience at Riley’s Farm for 5th grade.

Fifth grade science wows us!

First graders have engaged in a myriad of hands-on learning opportunities in the midst of their math unit on measurement! Students have practiced measuring length, weight, and volume using a variety of measuring tools and units.

5th grade reflects on Holy Week. This beautiful picture was drawn by Kaleb Parry.

A Resurrection Egg Hunt helped first grade trace the events of Holy Week through Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection. Jesus has shown amazing love for us!

The Classroom Easter Celebration in first grade included a beaded cross craft. Jesus’ Resurrection makes the ugly, violent cross into a beautiful reminder of God’s love and mercy! Our colorful crosses represent Jesus’ victory over death!

The first graders had a special Guest Reader today... our school principal, Dr. Walner! Dr. Walner shared *The Story of the Easter Robin* by Dandi Daley Mackall, a perfect selection for Holy Week. We are getting our hearts and minds ready for Good Friday and for the Good News of Easter morning!

The kindergarten class made these custom shirts! Every student drew a self portrait and then they were placed on a shirt. Such a fun keepsake for the future!

Congratulations to our Bethany Christian School Math Olympic delegates.

We are always working hard in Kindergarten!

It was a fitting start to Spring Break: first grade released their painted lady butterflies! The butterflies were sent off with a prayer of blessing and with cheers from students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We are grateful to God for the wonder of creation!

Today, the kindergarteners, 2nd graders, and 5th graders were able to listen to the author, Victoria Nelson read her new book “Hiya Moriah”.

Nothing like Monday math games in Kindergarten!

Come on over to the Reading Ranch - Bethany’s Book Fair Fundraiser, now through Thursday, March 28. Open before and after school and recess and lunch. Located in the Ministry Center Gym. Books and other items provided by Mrs. Nelsen’s Book Fair Company.

Another first grade update: Metamorphosis is amazing! When we arrived at school this morning, we could see the butterflies’ wings through the thin chrysalis walls. Within an hour, two more butterflies emerged! We are filled with wonder as we watch Creation in action. God is too marvelous for words!

Fifth grade patriots enjoy colonial crafts and games.

Bethany Christian eighth graders find the fun in physics at Knott’s Berry Farm.

When you finish your math work early in 3rd grade, you get to play math games! These students are playing multiplication war, a math board game, and making up problems for friends to solve.

Learning addition in Kindergarten!
